By accessing or using any part of the Lumen Spiriti website or online booking system you agree to be bound by the following conditions of use. If you do not wish to be bound by these conditions, you must not make use of the Lumen Spiriti website or systems.
1. Privacy
You can access our Web site home page and browse our site without disclosing your personal data.
We collect the personal data that you may volunteer while using our services.
We do not collect information about our visitors from other sources, such as public records or bodies, or private organisations.
If we wish to use your personal data for a new purpose, we offer you the means to consent to this new purpose: by indicating in a box at the point on the site where personal data is collected
Contact us by the means given at the bottom of this document to request copies of the personal data we keep about you. Note that there may be a charge to cover the expenses of producing the information in an appropriate format (e.g. printing and postage).
We confirm that we will not pass your details to any third parties without your prior permission, except where required by law to do so.
2. Online Booking
The online booking system is provided by Appointy and you will be asked to provide personal information to Appointy which will be passed to Lumen Spiriti (except for passwords). Lumen Spiriti is not responsible or liable for any errors by Appointy. See Appointy’s Terms of Use and Privacy policy for more information.
Treatments for children aged under 16 cannot be booked online. To book a treatment in this instance, bookings must be made over the phone and the parent or guardian must provide written permission.
3. Intellectual Property Rights
Unless otherwise specified all images, articles and website content are property of Lumen Spiriti. You may view, download and print the content and images for personal use only. Anything else requires written permission from Lumen Spiriti.
4. Online Payments
Payments are collected using Paypal. Lumen Spiriti is not responsible or liable for any errors by Paypal. See Paypal terms and conditions for more information.
5. Cancellations and Refunds
You can cancel or reorganise your appointment at any time. However, a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the treatment fee may be incurred if the cancellation is within 3 hours of the start of the treatment. Any pre-paid treatment fees will be refunded in full. – subject to any cancellation fees incurred.
Where we are required to cancel your treatment for any reason, we will inform you as soon as possible of this, and refund any prepaid treatment fees.
6. Complaints
We do our best to provide the best experience for our clients as possible. Please contact us as soon as possible if you have complaints, comments or suggestions and we will do our best to address any issues to your satisfaction.
7. Limitations of liability
The information and pictures provided on this website are for information purposes only, and are not intended to be relied upon. The details of any treatments will be discussed with the provider before commencing. Our liability for any losses arising from use of the website or the booking system is limited to any fees which have been prepaid.
We do our best to ensure the best quality of material on the website but we do not guarantee that it is precise, correct or up to date.
We may provide links to external websites and resources. Lumen Spiriti is not responsible for any external websites, including but not limited to content, availability or privacy
We will not be responsible or liable to you for any loss of content or material uploaded or transmitted through the website.
We accept no liability of any kind for any loss or damage from action taken or taken in reliance on material or information contained on the site.

8. Regulation
Lumen Spiriti is a graduate practitioner of the Shiatsu Society (UK) and adheres to the high standards required for practitioners by the society.

9. Amendments
We reserve the right to change or revise our terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will take effect when posted on the website. Every change of terms and conditions including the documents or other sources referred to in this disclaimer supersedes all previous agreements between you and Lumen Spiriti and in respect of your use of our website. It is your responsibility to examine this disclaimer periodically to ensure you are familiar with the latest terms and conditions.
10. Law and jurisdiction
The contract between us as well as these terms and conditions will be interpreted in accordance with Scottish law, and any disputes between us or relating to this disclaimer shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Scotland.
